Read Time: 3 Minutes What You'll Learn: What's the best diet in 2025? And why it doesn't matter.
So what's the best diet of 2025 according to the New York Post? See below. So what does this mean? Well, it depends. If you enjoy a Mediterranean diet, you probably feel better about your life choices. But what if you don't like a Mediterranean diet? Does that mean your diet is "wrong"? No. Let me explain why these headlines are misleading. If you're healthy and enjoy your current diet, there is no reason to change what you're doing (or eating). You're healthy because your diet works for you. You're able to stick with it consistently. It keeps you satisfied. It works with your lifestyle and preferences. The reason I don't love these headlines is people read them and think the Mediterranean diet is the only way to go. They think they have to stop what they're doing and follow a new diet. The truth is, the best diet or nutrition plan is the one you can stick to long-term. That's it. End of story. Now, hopefully, the diet you're sticking to is relatively healthy, and if you're healthy and at a happy weight, there's no need to change what you're doing unless a specific reason to change presents itself. Keep doing what you're doing. It WORKS for YOU. While I do agree that the Mediterranean diet is very healthy, I wouldn't ever tell a client that I coach to stop what they're doing and follow this new diet because it was ranked the "best" diet in some magazine/newspaper (or whatever the NY Post is). Find what works for you, hit your protein goals, and fill in the rest with whole foods that are nutritious and make you happy. Oh, and save 10-20% for some treats that make you happy, too. That's all for this week.

Let’s talk about something that might not be the sexiest topic in the health world but is absolutely critical if you’re trying to lose weight: awareness of how much you’re eating. I know, I know—counting calories or even just paying attention to portion sizes can feel like a chore. But here’s the thing: most of us are terrible at estimating how much we’re actually eating.
