The 90-Day Fat Loss Season

Ready to Get Lean? It’s Time for a Fat Loss Season.

Hey,

Ever feel like you're just kinda... going through the motions with fat loss? You want results. You kinda eat healthy. You get to the gym when you can.

But progress? Meh. Not much to show for it.

If that sounds like your current season of life, I’ve got something that might flip the switch for you:

A Fat Loss Season

Just like life has seasons — times when you’re focused on family, work, or rest — fat loss requires a dedicated season of focus too.

That means going all-in (temporarily) on the things that move the needle:

✅ Nailing your nutrition

✅ Prioritizing movement and recovery

✅ Controlling your environment

✅ Managing stress

✅ Blocking out distractions

And here’s the key: it doesn’t have to last forever.

In fact, it shouldn’t.

Studies have shown that short, structured fat loss phases (8–12 weeks) lead to more sustainable results than long, drawn-out efforts — especially when they’re followed by periods of maintenance (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/29516716/).

That’s because focused effort reduces decision fatigue. You stop negotiating with yourself. You know the mission, and everything else gets put on silent mode.

I often call it the fat loss tunnel — where distractions fade, your actions are aligned, and momentum starts working for you instead of against you.

This is exactly what I did for 6 months back in 2002 when I lost 127 lbs. I eliminated all distractions, dug deeper than ever and focused on my goal. I was obsessed, but only for that 6 months. Afterwards, I dialed it back and maintained. You can't stay in a fat loss phase forever. Your body simply won't allow it and it'll tell you with all kinds of hormonal disfunction and fatigue setting in.

Here are a few insights to help you make the most of this kind of season:

  1. Define the finish line. Know exactly what you’re working toward and how long you’ll stay in that focused phase.
  2. Track 3 metrics: nutrition, movement, and sleep. These three drive the majority of your results.
  3. Expect resistance. Every breakthrough season comes with moments of doubt, discomfort, and friction. That’s normal — and usually a sign that you’re in the growth zone. Develop a bulletproof mindset to keep you going.

You’re allowed to be a little obsessive in this season. You’re allowed to treat fat loss like a mission — for now.

And if you approach it the right way, the next 90 days could completely reshape your body, mindset, and momentum for the rest of the year, or the rest of your life like it did for me.

If you're ready to go into focus mode, I’ve built a system to help you do exactly that — without burning out or wasting time.

Hey, Let’s talk about you—or at least, one version of you I know well. You're the kind of person who wakes up already behind. Your calendar's full before your feet even hit the floor. Meetings, deadlines, endless email threads. You’re productive, reliable, maybe even the backbone of your team. But beneath the professional armor, you’re tired. Sluggish. Carrying 20–30 extra pounds you didn’t sign up for. Maybe you’ve tried to fix it. You downloaded the calorie tracker app. You cut carbs for...

You’re Doing the Work… So Where Are the Results? Let’s talk about something frustrating — working your ass off in the gym, showing up for sessions with your trainer, never missing a day of workouts… and still not seeing the fat loss you expected. If that’s you right now, I see you. And more importantly — you’re not broken. This is a super common experience, and it doesn’t mean your body is resistant to fat loss or that you just "don’t have the genetics." It usually comes down to three...

Hey, Let’s talk about something that doesn’t get enough attention: The health risks of being “just” 20 pounds overweight. You might think, “It’s not that bad… I’m not obese. I work hard. I’ll get to it.” But the truth? Even carrying an extra 15–20 pounds of body fat, especially around the midsection, can silently chip away at your energy, performance, and long-term health. Here’s what the science says: 1. Increased risk of heart disease A study in JAMA found that even “mild” overweight...
